Styles of Dancing
The two main styles of dancing within the Ballroom World are Latin and Standard. Latin covers the five dances: Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble and Jive. Standard or 'Modern' covers the 5 Ballroom dances which are Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz and Quickstep.

Most people tend to have a go at all 10, to see which they prefer. Some people continue with all ten as they like to dance them all! Other people tend to concentrate on either one style or the other. The choice is yours! The main thing is to get up and have a go!
